The latest album by Petros Klampanis is a lift to the rooftops!
The latest album of the internationally acclaimed bass player Petros Klampanis, titled Rooftop Stories, has just been released. The title, a reference to Klampanis’ homonymous original video project, alludes to the content of the Greek musician’s album, who may be based in New York, but travels in the four corners of the world.

Performing on the rooftops of a series of cities that stir his interest  Athens, Havana, London, Nagasaki and Tel Aviv to be more specific – he recorded five music videos, intended as audio travel memorabilia.
As he explains, “the ‘Rooftop Stories’ project kicked off a few years ago, as an experiment. At some point, I wandered what would happen if I mixed up bass playing with travelling and the art of cinema. I have always been fond of the view and the vibe of urban rooftops. One thing led to another, and five music videos were produced between 2017 and 2019: Footprints in Athens, Alfonsina Y El Mar in London, Minimal Dispute in Tel Aviv, Pes Mou Mia Lexi in Havana, and I’ll Be Seeing You in Nagasaki.”

The new album is released in a series of limited copies, accompanied with commentary by the well-known writer and jazz journalist, Bill Milkowski, as well as personal note by the artist himself.
